Glass House Caps State Historic Home Timeline
Philip Johnson's iconic house in New Canaan has been made the ending point of a timeline of Connecticut's historic homes.
As part of the 375th Anniversary of Connecticut, the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism (CCT) is showcasing 23 house museums. The exhibit will run from April 1 through May 28 at the CCT Gallery, One Constitution Plaza, 2nd Floor, Hartford. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The exhibit, "From Stone House to Glass House: Preserving Connecticut's History," starts with the 1639 Henry Whitfield House Museum in Guilford and ends with Johnson's Glass House, built in 1949.
