Waveny Grateful for Sewing Group's Grant

Dear Editor,

On behalf of all whom Waveny Care Network serves, I would like to thank the New Canaan Sewing Group for awarding us a generous grant this year. In our effort to continue to provide the highest levels of quality care, [this] funding will be used to purchase a PedAlert Monitor – a weight-bearing device for use by individuals with hip or ankle fractures, hip replacements, foot ulcers or other conditions that require weight-bearing limitations or weight transfer training.

Additionally, monies will be used to purchase new monitors to enhance our wander guard system (elopement prevention measure) in The Village at Waveny Care Center, our assisted living residence for people with Alzheimer's disease and other types of memory loss.

We truly appreciate the funding of our requests, especially during these challenging economic times. Please extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone in your organization for making this gift possible.

Waveny is proud to offer a comprehensive continuum of programs, services and residences to serve the growing healthcare needs of the New Canaan community and surrounding areas. We are very grateful to the New Canaan Sewing Group for their ongoing belief in Waveny's mission and thank them for their generous support of our organization.

Sincerely,

Heather L. Neff
