WILTON: "Carrot Top is now fearful ..." This is one reader's response to the latest installment of "From the Driver's Seat," where columnist Heather Borden Hervé talks about donning a clown costume in reaction to the comments her columns often receive.
SHELTON: "You really get too little for too much here in Shelton. Primary reason we'll be buying our home out-of-state! ;)" A reader posted this comment on Shelton Patch's Facebook page in response to a list of the town's property transfers between Jan. 9 and Jan. 13.
TRUMBULL: "Clearly the state is beginning to overstep. The bullying policy recently implemented in our district does not include the parents, a perfect example of schools stepping in to address scenarios that should be addressed by parents. The ISS mandate is another - forcing schools to provide alternative education is just plain wrong and teaches the wrong lesson, a lesson that parents should be allowed to teach. You can bet, I wouldn't 'reward' a suspended child with a one-on-one education. Where is the lesson in that?" This is one reader's response to a "Local Voices" post by blogger Pam Georgas about schools' role in the moral development of its students.
