A circus is sensational and thrilling. Entering a big top with its bursting color brings a feeling of magic, sparkle and anticipation.
The and partnered again this summer to bring Circus Vidbel to town with its one ring spectacle that achieves the same excitement, laughter and fun inspired by many of the larger shows.

Circus Vidbel had something for everyone. My personal favorite was aerialist and Circus Manager Susan Vidbel who gracefully moved from organizing concessions to rigging wires to performing beautiful aerial acts on the cloud swing. Another favorite was Gue Meng the Chinese Vase Juggler who tossed around impossibly heavy planter-sized vases and balanced them on his head. Dancing dogs (see video), sword throwers, elegant bare-back riders and a tumbling clown kept the kids enthralled.
Circus Vidbel is an old fashioned family owned circus with a big heart, and a welcome addition to New Canaan's schedule of summer fun.
