Someone has been following UPS and Fedex trucks in Southport and stealing packages from people’s front porches…Fairfield police are investigating the occurrences.

Westport police arrested two Bridgeport men for shoplifting at a CVS on Post Road East. When police found the two men in a vehicle at a nearby Stop and Shop, 13 stolen cans of baby formula, valued at $342, were in clear sight in the back seat.

A car struck a man walking his bike on the side of the road in Wilton. The driver stopped, got out, checked on the injured man - who later went to the hospital -and then hopped back in his car and attempted to drive away. Police pulled him over shortly thereafter.

A Westport woman allegedly stole from Kohl's in Trumbull Dec. 7. Police said she took about $542 in jewelry.

State police found a 73-year-old woman passed out drunk on the northbound platform of the Fairfield Metro train station. When she came to, she told police she had come from Mario’s Place in Westport.

A Fairfield resident came home to find her live-in nanny in the midst of stealing jewelry from the third-floor bedroom closet. Not only was the woman who watched her children stealing from the family, but police found narcotics and drug paraphernalia on her person.

In Norwalk, police officers had to Taser a man twice before arresting him on Monday evening. The 35-year-old reportedly was yelling at a woman and he "pulled his hand away with great force" when police tried to handcuff him, then wrestled with the officers and moved toward an open door near his vehicle, possibly to reach for a weapon, police said.

A Stamford woman faces multiple drug charges after police in Norwalk arrested her for trying to sell more than two dozen oxycodone pills to undercover cops.

Norwalk police arrested three men following an alleged robbery of a city home that saw one try to flee authorities in his “getaway” dump truck while two others, seeing police, dropped the several video games, small speakers, a GPS and other accessories—worth about $1,000 total—that they had been carrying.

A NY male was arrested at a Macy's in Stamford for ID theft and credit card fraud among other ID-theft related charges. His accomplice, a female, eluded capture.

Three Bronx, NY women's spree in Greenwich's downtown shopping district this week included signature stores Victoria's Secret, Talbot's and Ralph Lauren's Rugby. The problem is that Greenwich Police say their spree was for shoplifting, not shopping.
