Town Clerk's Office Now on Elm Street

As the town hall renovation project moves ahead, residents might find locked doors instead of open ones at the town hall site.

New Canaan residents wishing to visit the town clerk should note the office is no longer located at its old location on Main Street.

After the election, the clerk's office moved to the second floor of the building at 237 Elm Street, next to Walter Stewarts Market.

The clerk's office was the last one to move from town hall, as Bill Oestmann, who is supervising the town hall renovation project, wanted to make sure residents weren't confused before the presidential election, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.
