Hey New Canaan, Summer isn't ready to hit the bricks yet. It's predicted to hit 89 and sunny all day! Partly cloudy skies bring the evening temps down to 70 degrees, according to Weather.com.

Wednesday is the anniversary of September 11, 2001. The New Canaan Police Department will hold a ceremony at Vine Cottage on Main Street at starting at 9:45 a.m.

At the New Canaan Library, there's a Books & Bagels discussion group at 12 p.m., Pizza & Pages book discussion group for 6th & 7th graders at 6 p.m. and a World Events, History & Culture cook discussion group at 7 p.m. 

New Canaan High School girls varsity soccer kicks off Wednesday at 4 p.m. get out and support your local team in their season opener versus Ridgefield at Conner Field on Farm Road. 

Women's clothing and accessory store Dorothy Mann will be hosting a charity event to benefit the Keystone House from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The store will open to show off fall fashions and 10 percent of the purchases will go to charity.
