Nic Conforti brings his musical stylings to New Canaan's South End at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, so visit 36 Pine Street for a free show. If a popping sound is more your speed, check out Fairfield Counts Big Band, the final installment in the Waveny Park 2013 Summer Concert Series. The show runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will be the last chance to take in some free tunes as part of the series before the end of summer. 

Wednesday is the first practice for the New Canaan Youth Field Hockey League's eighth graders from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Check out the full schedule here
