Turkey Dinner Delivery for Person-to-Person

Turkey Dinner for clients of Person-to-Person

and the Young Women's League of New Canaan delivered 160 Turkey dinners to on Friday, Nov. 18. P2P has clients who are residents of Stamford, Darien and New Canaan that have been referred by other agencies and social workers. It was amazing to see how fast the food was unpacked and stored in the purpose built food pantry on the St. Luke's Parish campus. As some hauled frozen turkeys to the second floor freezer, others were pulling together the rest of the meal bags, Walter Stewart's staff was whisking away empty crates and, throughout this frenzy, there were clients shopping for their family's critical needs.

Although the pantry looked full, Kathleen Bordelon, Director of Volunteers informed us that the shelves would be empty again in a week's time. Food and winter clothing is needed now. Empty your closets of warm coats and seasonal clothes you will replace over the holiday season. Every contribution makes a difference!

Everyone who contributed their T-bills and those who donated cash, time and expertise should be proud and thankful of their involvement with these organizations, they are making a difference. Thank you!
