Animal Care Volunteers

Birds of Prey – Adult volunteers needed Mondays and Wednesdays; any time between 9am-4pm for approx. 1-2 hrs.

Morning Rounds – Volunteers needed for misting, watering and checking on welfare of animals (9-9:30am Mon-Sat)

Saturday Team - Seeking volunteers 15+ years old who are interested in an animal career.  Assist with organizing and cleaning animal areas, then learn grooming & exam techniques.  3-4 hrs every Saturday morning

Chicken Care- Responsibilities include daily feeding, watering and letting out/putting in coop.

Special Mammals - Adults vaccinated for rabies may work with our skunk, opossum and bat.(Mon-Sat, 1 hr)

By abandoning their prior procedure of approving posts before they go up, they are letting anything go on and then taking them down if they're reported. By then, it's too late: the poster has gotten their message across during the time it's in the lineup. I only check in with Patch occasionally now and so many people in town won't read it at all anymore. I think we need to be honest with ourselves about what kind of a public forum this venue is. This doesn't reflect well on Staples if they are using subterfuge and violating Terms of Use on Patch either.
