Ann Marie Hearn, Former Waveny Care Center Volunteer

Ann Marie Hearn, a longtime resident of Darien passed away on October 21, 2011 in New Canaan. She was the daughter of the late John Henry and Margaret Lyden Hearn.

Ann worked for the New Canaan Medical Group as an Assistant for 40 years. She was also a volunteer for many years at the in New Canaan and a member of the Darien Senior Center.

She is survived by her sister Marylou Wilkinson and her husband Ned of New Canaan, four nieces, Evelyn O’Reilly, Michaele Ali, Virginia Hearn and Lisa Goodson, two nephews Francis Fitzpatrick and Richard Hearn and by one godchild Mave Olmstead.  Ann was pre-deceased by one brother J. Richard Hearn and one sister Evelyn Fitzpatrick.

Calling hours will be held at the Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Rd., Darien on Thursday October 27, 2011 from 5 to 8 PM.  A Mass will be held at St. Aloysius Church, 40 Maple St., New Canaan on Friday Oct. 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waveny Care Center, 3 Farm Rd. New Canaan, CT 06840.
