Santa Clause took a break from his busy holiday schedule to have breakfast and visit with the children of New Canaan. The annual tradition, hosted by the New Canaan Recreation Department and the Young Women’s League of New Canaan, brought Santa from the North Pole on Saturday, December 8 at the town’s historic Waveny House.
About 450 parents and children enjoyed breakfast treats from Walter Stewart’s Market and Dunkin’ Donuts, before seeing Santa. The price of admission was a new toy donation for Toys For Tots. KARL Chevrolet was on-hand to collect the 150 new toys, which will be distributed throughout Fairfield county.
The lucky children in attendance received a gift of their own after seeing Santa – a goody bag filled with items from the New Canaan Toy Store, the Bank of New Canaan and Toddlertime Nursery School.
The Young Women's League thanks each of the event's sponsors for their time and contributions, which without their support, Breakfast With Santa could not be possible.
