It has been Tanya Bickley’s dream for more than eight years to direct a rehearsed reading of Terrence McNally’s play Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. Her dream of providing a romantic evening of theatre is soon to come true on August 26 thru 28 as a Town Players Stage II production. Marta Backman and Tom Petrone will appear as the lovers Frankie and Johnny, a waitress and a short order cook who risk saying “yes” to love, while Rob Reeves, host of WPKN’s “It’s A Hit!” will portray Marlon the classical music announcer and New Canaan’s Sheri Dean will read the stage directions.
