Linea Ann Harvey passed away September 4, 2012 at the age of 56, after a long battle with cancer in her family home, purchased in 1926. Linea was born in Pittsburg, PA as the youngest child of Edna Barnes and Richard F. Harvey. She is also predeceased by her brother, Steven Cabot Barnes Harvey.
Linea studied theater at Bennett College and received her BFA degree from Vassar in 1978. She worked as a fitting model for Elite Runway in NYC for over 30 years.
She was an avid collector of antiques, a joy she shared with her brother, Steven. She had a great love for gardening and for all animals, mainly Cats, especially those that are stray, feral and abandoned. She believed that: “If God sent an animal your way, He meant for you to care for it!” The evening after Linea passed, a skinny, stray, calico cat appeared outside our garage. I know that it was sent by Linea, and of course, it was well fed. Linea volunteered for Strays & Others, Inc. of New Canaan for over 15 years.
She is survived by her husband, Sinclair Seibert of New Canaan and brother, Alan R. Harvey of Warren, Ohio.
Burial will be private. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 5 Oenoke Ridge Road, New Canaan.
