Local Resident Promoted at The Bank of New Canaan

New Canaan, CT – November 2, 2012 – BNC Financial Group CEO Peyton R. Patterson announced that Diane Knetzger has been promoted to Senior Vice President of BNC Financial Group, the holding company that has The Bank of New Canaan, The Bank of Fairfield and Stamford First Bank as its subsidiaries.  Ms. Knetzger joined The Bank of New Canaan as Director of Marketing in 2004, and has played an important role in the Bank’s expansion into other markets and support of local not-for-profits.  In 2008, bank management opened The Bank of Fairfield, and in 2010 the organization founded Stamford First Bank, a division of The Bank of New Canaan.

“I am delighted to announce Diane’s promotion,” notes Patterson.  “Her hard work and dedication have played an important role in The Bank of New Canaan being named the #1 Community Bank in Connecticut.”

Ms. Knetzger is a marketing and communications professional with 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.   Earlier in her career, she worked at several advertising agencies in New York City, including Arnold Worldwide.

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Ms. Knetzger has lived in New Canaan for 25 years, where she raised four daughters.

As New Canaan’s only locally-owned, independent commercial bank, The Bank of New Canaan is committed to providing the highest possible level of customer service.  All decisions are made in our two branches at 156 Cherry Street and 208 Elm Street, and funds are reinvested locally.  More information about the bank can be found at www.bankofnewcanaan.com.
