Find out what's happening in New Canaanwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

A camera is a wonderful tool to explore the world.  This workshop will focus on the basics of photography with an emphasis on creative exploration and trusting your instincts.  Bring your own camera or use one of ours (but please bring an SD memory card if you would like to take your images home).  Ages 8 - 12.

Sunday, January 19, 2-3:30 pm:  Expanding Photographic Possibilities

In this workshop, we will experiment with creative photographic techniques and create photo collages.  We will provide a wide selection of photos, but you are welcome to bring some of your own photos as long as they can be altered (cut, glued etc).  We also will play with the giant interactive photo collage wall that is part of the current Carriage Barn exhibit and add your collage to the exhibit for the day! Ages 8 – 12.

Sunday, January 26, 2-3:30 pm:  Learning to See

This workshop will challenge you to use your photographic skills to find the extraordinary hidden details in the world around you.  With a camera in hand (yours or one of ours), you will discover new sights and experiment with new techniques.  Every image tells a story and we will use the images gathered during the workshop to share stories with each other. Ages 8 – 12.
