NCHS Boys Squash Triumphant over Darien

On January 8th the NCHS Boys Varsity A team played Darien High School at Chelsea Piers in Stamford.  The Rams had a strong showing, conquering the Blue Wave 7-1.  The sole loss of the match up was Killian Bubrosky, playing No. 1 against Darien's Toby Hansford.  In a very tight and highly competitive match, Hansford edged out Bubrosky winning 11-9, 4-11, 11-9, 11-9.  But the Rams were not to be denied and Grayson Bubrosky (No.2) defeated Connor Wind 3-0.  Hal Holappa (No. 3) topped James Teschner 11-1, 11-4, 11-4.  Christian Megherby (No. 4) defeated Walker Wind 11-2, 11-8, 11-5. Andreas Kjekstad (No. 5), Kyle Finnican (No. 6) and Sam Havens  (No. 7) all had straight wins of 3-0.  Will Gruseke (No. 8) topped Nick Cohen in a close match scoring 11-9, 13-11, 11-7.
