Mike, who grew up in New Canaan, formerly a staff writer with Greenwich Time, and senior regional editor of Patch.com, founded NewCanaanite.com in January 2014 to provide local, interactive coverage of the town. He is a graduate of Oxford University and the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeanine, who moved to New Canaan in 2007, works from Susan G Komen Connecticut as the Director of Fairfield County.  Jeanine presented to the Kiwanis Club earlier in the year and applied for membership shortly later. “I was really impressed with the members and the contributions they make to New Canaan and wanted to be a part of it.” Having initially volunteering for Komen Connecticut, Jeanine understands the importance of giving back to the causes that are important to you. “As a resident of New Canaan with a small child, it is incredibly important to me to make an impact in my community and I feel the Kiwanis Club is the perfect way to do that.” Jeanine is looking forward to helping out with the many projects that the Kiwanis Club works on, especially the Fishing Derby, where she hopes her son will catch “the big one”.
