A Hopping Good Time at the Easter Egg Hunt

The 38th Annual Easter Egg Hunt and beautiful spring weather made for perfection!

The weather cooperated with a sunny spring morning for the 38th Annual Easter Egg Hunt as a happy crowd celebrated the event’s cherished traditions at on Sat. April 9.  

Mr. and Mrs. Bunny arrived aboard Old Faithful to kick off the event at 10am and the egg hunt began at 10:45 with separate areas for three age groups: two-and-under, 3-to-4-year-olds and 5-and-older.

At the event, co-sponsored by and , families also enjoyed coffee and baked goods, a live band, a hip-hop dance performance, face painting, bounce houses and a bunny hop.

The Young Woman's League filled 10,000 plastic Easter Eggs with candies and some lucky ones contained gift certificates.

The event was free and open to the public thanks to the collaboration and support of local organizations and businesses.

Kerry Lee and hopped on board with the YWL to underwrite the cost of the eggs this year.

Also generously contributing to the event for the first year were , and Randy Jahier, the owner of 

donated the coffee for the second year. YWL members baked close to 1,000 homemade cupcakes, cookies and muffins that were for sale in addition to Easter  baskets and other Easter novelties. 

Entertainment was sponsored by Pepe Motors of White Plains, NY. Owner Bob Pepe is a New Canaan resident. 

donated 30,000 jellybeans to fill the eggs.  and sponsored the inflatable slides and bounce houses.

All proceeds from the event go to the Young Women's League Giving Fund that supports local charities.
