School Spirit High In New Canaan

Spirit Week, a long-standing tradition at New Canaan High School, is a chance for students to show their colors, their creativity and most importantly, their spirit.

Daily themes of this much-loved school celebration include High Society Day, Clone Day, Decades Day, and Red and Black Day. The week culminated Friday, Oct. 21 with an afternoon Pep Rally and Bonfire. The enthusiasm continued at Saturday's football game at Dunning Stadium.

Commenting on the week, New Canaan's new principal, , said, "Nothing anyone could have possibly told me about Clone Day could have prepared me for the sight of 110 Oompa Loompas in the Lounge this morning.  It's all in good fun, as long as classes are not interrupted."
