New Canaan Marks the 10th Anniversary of 9/11

Clergy members representing 13 faiths led a service of remembrance and peace on Sunday afternoon.

New Canaan marked the with a Sunday afternoon service organized by the Clergy Association of New Canaan. The Reverend Peter Walsh of , spearheaded the effort that was designed to bring together people of different faiths in a ceremony of remembrance. Clergy members from thirteen different faiths participated. Music was provided by choral groups from four local churches. 

The ceremony began at the New Canaan train station where members of the town's emergency services gathered and walked to the at God's Acre, accompanied by the bagpipe music of Stephanie Moore.

The spirit was uplifting, with a sense of support and comfort from a caring community.
