The New Canaan Pool controversy saw some movement on the Town Council front, when a discussion on the process for determining the sale of passes to out-of-towners took place during Wednesday night's meeting. 

In police news, the department named it's new permanent Chief, choosing interim Chief Leon Krolikowski to fill the permanent position, a Good Samaritan returned a lost or stolen purse, and the entirety of its contents, to the police station and a 68-year-old New York woman was charged with skipping out on a $14 taxi fare

The New Canaan Library held it's annual fundraising Literary Luncheon, this year featuring Therese Anne Fowler, author of "Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald."

Flu Vaccine Clinic scheduled to be held at New Canaan High School helps do more than fight the winter sniffles. It also helps emergency services prepare for disasters by allowing them to practice mass distribution of drugs.
