In case you missed a day, here's a quick roundup of all the lead stories from New Canaan this week. There's always a lot going on, so take this opportunity to catch up if you missed something!

In community news, New Canaan took time Wednesday to remember 9/11, locally-owned Mobil detailed its fundraising efforts for children with disabilities, New Canaan Public Schools showed off a modified 2014-15 school calendar and the New Canaan Library talked about author Reza Aslan's scheduled visit in a couple weeks. 

In police news, Interim Chief Leon Krolikowski announced this week the 10-day suspension of Lt. Fred Pickering, who was accused of being involved in a physical altercation at a Forest Street bar in February. Representation for Pickering was quick to respond that they would challenge the decision.

Also in police news, it was reported this week that $600 worth of heartburn medication was stolen from Walgreens, a hangup 911 call during a domestic incident led to disorderly conduct charges for a New Canaan man and his Ridgefield girlfriend and the department announced this week it would be seeking high school students to participate in peer jury
