By far, the biggest news outside of the calendar rolling over was the winter storm Hercules doing some rolling of its own. It closed school early on Thursday and canceled it completely Friday. It closed Town Hall and affected train line schedules. If you got any great shots of Thursday's storm, be sure to share them!
In New Canaan police news, Animal Control offered some tips for ensuring the return of a lost pet if a sitter loses the animal while owners are away, a $400 pen was stolen out of an unlocked car, a car struck a home the day after Christmas and the department has made one new addition to the force.
