Heather Gaudio Fine Art Features Works by Cora Cohen

Show Opens October 11 and Highlights Five Newly Exhibited Pieces

Heather Gaudio Fine Art, a contemporary art gallery in New Canaan,Connecticut, announces its upcoming exhibition, Another Blank Space, featuring recent works by Cora Cohen. Opening on October 11, the show features paintings, works on paper and the debut of five new pieces at exhibition including Another Blank Space, 2011; Outside Nature, 2010; Curtain 4, 2012; If I Weren't, 2012 and After Fall, 2012.

Heather Gaudio invites the community to meet Cora Cohen at the artist reception to be held from 6pm to 8pm on October 11. "We are excited to exhibit an artist such as Cora Cohen in our gallery. Her work brings a unique lens to abstraction and, as such, she has an influential impact on contemporary art,” states Gaudio. The exhibition will run from October 11 through November 29, 2012.

Cora Cohen is a New York artist known for paintings that draw on contemporary urban and philosophical sources. “Cora Cohen is among America’s foremost abstract gestural painters. For over forty years she has been exploring an improvisational approach to art, creating rigorous compositions that unravel the DNA of painting. With an arsenal of materials, including powdered pigment, oil pastel, acrylic paint and graphite, Cohen pushes her medium to distress and breakdown, producing works of unsettling opticality (Far Less Tangible States of Being by Lauri Bortz, Independent Essay, 2006).”

Heather Gaudio Fine Art specializes in both emerging and established artists, offering works on paper, photography, painting and sculpture. The gallery offers a full range of art advisory services, from forming and maintaining a collection to framing and installation. The focus is on each individual client, selecting art that best serves his or her vision, space, and resources. Offering five shows per year, the exhibitions are designed to showcase important talent and provide artwork appealing to a broad range of interests. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday; 11am to 5pm; and by appointment. www.heathergaudiofineart.com

I voted for Mallozzi but I have to tell you that after I saw his antics in person at TequillaRead More Mockingbird I find him morally reprehensible. He boasted how we was the "mayor" of New Canaan and had two women sit with him and his colleague to discuss how he might be able to find one of the girls mom a job in New Canaan.

If you want to see how many members of Mallozzi Marionettes are graduates of the University ofRead More Vermont, please Google Tucker Murphy's name. There are currently 8 people who are UVM alumni. Some day, maybe Tom Stadler, will investigate the issue he has ignored over a year ago. Mr. Stadler was advised that the apron of Tiger's driveway appropriated the use of Town of New Canaan taxpayer purchase products to improve Tiger's home. Mr. Stadler never responded to my request to determine if Town's resources were used to improve Tiger's driveway. Maybe "Johnny Engel-seed" was advised in the acquisition of his home improvements by the Department of Public Works? Mr. Mallozzi, when you decided to retaliate against me last Friday, you should have considered that there are federal laws which prohibit retaliation against federal whistleblowers. As soon as you retaliated against my civil liberties and restricted my access to public document inspection and applied "threats of arrest" to obstruct justice, you have now exposed the Town of New Canaan to a federal suit for violations of U.S.C. Title 42, Section 1983. Mr. Mallozzi says he fears me? No, Mr. Mallozzi fears that the allegations set forth in my criminal complaint alleging Larceny: Defrauding the Public Community will allow for the documents which I acquired pursuant to the FOI Act to be provided to a federal jury as evidence.
