Bank Hosts Painting Exhibit of Local Artist Ceal Swift

As part of an ongoing effort to support local artists, the paintings of Ceal Swift will be on display at The Bank on New Canaan's 208 Elm Street branch through the end of December. The community is invited to view the exhibit anytime during the Elm Street branch banking hours, which are 9-5 weekdays and 9-noon Saturdays. The public is also invited to attend an opening reception for the artist on Thursday, November 3rd, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Known locally as the greeter at Gate's - the Forest Street restaurant her husband, Jeb, has operated for 32 years, Swift has "entered a new journey" in life, creating acrylic paintings of landscapes and dog portraits. She is inspired by her travels and love of animals. Ms. Swift has been studying at the Silvermine School of Art for the past six years. She is a member of the Carriage Barn Arts Center, Stamford Art Association, and the Newtown Society for Arts.

Ms. Swift's paintings may also be seen at Marly's Restaurant in Wilton, Connecticut, and at Anna's Art Gallery and Art Provo, both located in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos.
