Germain Green Glidden (1914 – 1999), or “G3 “as he was affectionately called by friends, was a painter, muralist, cartoonist and a national squash racquets champion. He was also the founder and chairman of the board of The National Art Museum of Sport in Indianapolis. Many of his works are on display in the Silvermine Room at the Historical Society. Exhibit hours are Tuesday - Friday 9:30 - 4:30 and Saturday 9:30 - 12:30.
