Meditations of Wind and Water -A Benefit for KEYS

11th New Canaan- RockwelL Art Gallery in New Canaan. The event is ONE NIGHT ONLY featuring
the tranquil photography of Jeffrey Vreeland and proceeds benefit the KEYS
organization of Bridgeport. A reception is scheduled for Friday May 11th

Jeffrey Vreeland of South Salem savors the exploration of the natural world through his photography. The interactions between water and its natural environment provide him with abundant inspiration. He captures the relationship of movement and water through wind, drops of rain, the passage of a duck, or the jump of a frog. Through his photographs the viewer can observe what the lens captured but
the eye has missed. 

Vreeland’s 20 year history of painting has led him to delve deeper into the surface of the
water through photography. He strives to find a harmonious composition
that captures the emerging existential possibilities through images that have
enough reality to draw the viewer in to feast on the infinite, fleeting, abstractions
or historical artifacts that our world consists of. Be it the graceful squiggle
of a line or the implications of time and space, his photography is an
attempt to capture examples of these unique passages of time.

KEYS – Kids
Empowered by Your Support is a non-profit Bridgeport based music
organization  providing musical
instruction for children ages K-8th grade who otherwise would not
have the opportunity to be touched by the power of music.  The
mission of KEYS is to bring private one-to-one piano, cello, classical
guitar, and violin lessons, and group music instruction to under-served
children in Bridgeport, CT who have no other access to this empowering life
experience. KEYS  agrees with the many
studies that have demonstrated that children benefit intellectually,
emotionally, and socially from musical instruction. In providing this
opportunity, KEYS serves this community in a unique and important manner. One third of the proceeds from the Art Sale
will go to the KEYS organization.
