Roger the Jester

Roger the Jester will be at the Ice Cream Social on June 3, 2012 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. to delight people of all ages.  Roger discovered his Jester self twenty-seven years ago on the streets of Boston, he then joined with the Swiss theatre troupe, Mummenschanz, and after this Broadway experience, took to the road to "recreate the wandering lifestyle of a medieval fool." That decision has left a trail of laughter throughout twenty-three countries.  Roger now bases his buffoonery in the Berkshires of Bassachusetts!  Along with Roger, there will be ice cream courtesy of Baskin-Robbins and homemade cakes made by the National Charity Leagues, the museums will all be open, including the John Rogers Studio, Rock School, Cody Drug Store, Tool Museum and Hanford-Silliman House where there will be special demonstrations and games and crafts for children.  Antique and classic cars will be on parade on the great lawn, come vote for your favorite.  Off campus the Little Red Schoolhouse on Carter Street will be open from 1:30 – 3:30 with docents who went to the school who will tell stories of attending this New Canaan treasure.
