St. Luke's Presents Once on This Island

About the Musical:

On a stormy night, the thunder claps make a small girl cry in fear. To comfort her, the villagers tell her the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who falls in love with a grand home (tall man), Daniel Beauxhomme. This musical, with book and lyrics by Linda Ahrens and music by Steven Flaherty, is a story of life, pain, love, grief, faith, and hope.

Originally staged at off-Broadway’s Playwrights Horizons, Once on This Island quickly moved to Broadway’s Booth Theatre for a successful 500 performances.
