VINES & VIGNETTES

Vines & Vignettes 2011:
A Fall Garden Fantasy returns to the Rose Cottage in Black Rock, CT, October 8th and October 9th.

BRIDGEPORT, CT.– Vines & Vignettes 2011: A Fall Garden Fantasy Tour, is a unique fall garden experience and fundraiser on the grounds of the historic Rose Cottage in the heart of Black Rock, CT.

The dates of Vines & Vignettes 2011 are:
Garden Event: Oct. 8th & 9th, 2011 - 10:00am-5:00pm
Garden Event Rain Date: Oct. 10th, 2011

Being that this our fall signature event, Vines & Vignettes 2011 will evoke the spirit of the autumn season. Some of
Fairfield County’s finest landscape architects, nurseries and garden antiques dealers will create more than a dozen
vignettes using the tranquil garden spaces, ponds and walkways of this three-acre property, once part of the
spectacular George Hotel on the waterfront at St. Mary’s-By-the-Sea.

Vines & Vignettes 2011 invites visitors to spend the day strolling through the beautiful garden and terrace vignettes,
enjoying wonderful food, wine tasting, live jazz and garden-related lectures. It will be a journey through the fall
season, a celebration of harvest and holiday traditions, and a perfect opportunity to purchase that “special
something” to take home.

Sponsors include: Nestle Waters North America, People’s United Bank, Stop & Shop, Chad’s Landscaping &
Design, our media sponsor Connecticut Cottages & Gardens and more.

Lindquist Landscape Design, Riedel & Cody Fund, Nest of Southport, Runk Douglas, Epicure of Design, Interior

All proceeds from Vines & Vignettes 2011 will benefit St. Ann School with a portion being given to the students’
sister charity, the Black Rock Food Pantry. Serving the historic and culturally rich neighborhood of Black Rock for
more than 70 years, this small elementary school is proud to provide an outstanding education to an ethnically and
economically diverse population.
