Patch recently had the chance to sit down with Stamford-native Miss Connecticut Kaitlyn Tarpey, who has an inspirational story to share.
But while we had her attention, we took advantage by asking her to share with us the secret to the perfect Miss America wave. She wasn't a huge fan of that style of greeting, but shared with us the tips she'd picked up along the way.
