Singer Javier Colon, the winner of NBC's first season of "The Voice," was welcomed at a homecoming reception in his hometown of Stratford, CT Sunday afternoon.
Gov Dannel Malloy proclaimed July 10 "Javier Colon Day" in Connecticut, Stratford Mayor John A. Harkins presented Colon with a Key to the City, and CT Sen. Richard Blumenthal was a speaker at the rally that drew hundreds of Colon fans and friends to Bunnell High School in Stratford.
Colon won a recording contract and $100,000 for his win on "The Voice." He was selected and coached by Adam Levine of Maroon 5.
