New Planters and Trees Coming to Forest Street
The town is replacing trees lost to the sidewalk expansion on Forest St., and planting a tree in Mead Park in memory of Vinny Socci.
We will be putting four self-watering planters on Forest Street with two varieties of birch trees. They grow upright so should work well with pedestrians and vehicles.
At the sidewalk, we will place four planters with zelkovas. We will also be planting a large weeping willow at in memory of Vinny Socci. This tree has been donated by ; more on that to come. All of this will begin this week — 9 May.
