[UPDATE] Metro-North Bridge Repaired

Problems with a bridge in Norwalk causing delays for rail commuters.

Update: 7:33pm

Workers have repaired the turntable bridge that had malfunctioned on Sunday afternoon. Metro-North service for commuters had been delayed for almost four hours while workers tried to fix the problem. Rail service has resumed.

Update: 5:15pm

Due to a bridge opening malfunction in the vicinity of South Norwalk, bus service will be provided between East Norwalk and South Norwalk. Trains departing New Haven will operate as far as East Norwalk.

Bus service will be provided from East Norwalk to South Norwalk where customers can connect with train service to Grand Central Terminal.Trains departing Grand Central Terminal will operate as far as South Norwalk. 

Bus service will be provided from South Norwalk to East Norwalk where customers can connect with train service to New Haven. Customers can expect 20-30 minute delays.

Problems with a drawbridge in Norwalk is causing major problems for rail commuters. Metro-North and emergency workers on the scene.
