The final round of the 2012 New Canaan Iron Sommelier takes place at Carpe Diem on Wednesday, April 25th. Participants -- the judges of the competition -- enjoy a fantastic 3-course prix fixe meal and are challenged to select the best wine pairing with each course. That translates into 4 glasses per course to taste and judge the wine selections of the participating restaurant professionals -- 12 tastings over the course of the evening. The reviews from participants of the previous three rounds have been superb: "What a fun way to enjoy great food, wine and company in New Canaan!" The participating restaurants are Carpe Diem, Harvest Supper, the Roger Sherman Inn and Thalia. Going into this final round, it's a close race between Roger Sherman Inn and Thalia but who knows, any one can win. Join us at 7pm on Wednesday to find out who is the 2012 Iron Sommelier Champion.
