If you're in downtown New Canaan today, you'll get a hint of what the Village Fair and Sidewalk Sale Day is going to be like on Saturday (minus the face painting and special events).
Some stores are already selling on the sidewalk, others have ongoing sales indoors.. Pictured here is Crewcuts, on the corner of Main and Elm streets (new Balance, down the street, has boxes of sneakers out on tables).
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 20.
Expect bargains from local merchants, entertainment and a variety of food.
The New Canaan farmer's market is also on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Old Center School Parking Lot (Corner of South Avenue, Maple Street, and Main Street).
