Heigl, DeNiro, Keaton and Grace to Shoot Movie in Darien

Two Fairfield County kids come home to make a movie.

Two local kids — , who grew up in New Canaan and Darien native Topher Grace — will be filming a movie together in Darien, according to Grace. Robert DeNiro and Diane Keaton will also star in the film.

Grace broke the news during an interview on TBS's Conan. Last week, Deadline and other outlets reported that Grace would be starring in a film titled Gently Down the Stream due out in 2012.

"The kicker is the film's in my hometown," Grace told host Conan O'Brien [watch the interview].

Heigl, 32, a 1996 graduate of , is best known for her role as Dr. Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy. She has also starred in a number of films, including 27 Dresses and Knocked Up.

During Tuesday's Conan appearance, Grace joked that it would be strange to live at home again during filming.

"I'm going to live there this summer. I'm gonna sleep in the bunk bed," Grace said.

"I moved away to go to boarding school when I was really young — when I was like 12. So my room stayed the same since when I was 12. I've got like ... a bunk bed, glow in the dark stars, all the dinosaur toys," he added.

"I really hope that De Niro comes over and visits you," O'Brien joked.

"He can have tops or bottoms," Grace said. "Robert, if you're watching, I want you to know that's what's going to be fun about the film."

"I feel like my mom's going to have to drive me to work in the morning," Grace joked.

Grace rose to fame in the role of Eric Forman on That 70's Show, later appearing in In Good Company, Spider-Man 3, and Predators.

His latest project, Too Big to Fail, premiered Monday night on HBO. Based on the events of the 2008 financial crisis, the film stars Grace as Jim Wilkinson, chief of staff to then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

In a recent Slate interview, Grace observed that his hometown had been "really rocked" by the events chronicled in the film.
