New Canaan Restaurants Among Tops in Connecticut

Elm Restaurant, Boulevard 18 and South End are among the best-rated restaurants for 2013 by Connecticut Magazine.

The votes are in and it's not too surprising that four of the best-rated restaurants in the state of Connecticut are in New Canaan.

According to the 2013 Best Restaurants rankings by Connecticut Magazine,

Elm Restaurant was named "Best New" restaurant by its critics. It was also received "honorable mention" for "Best Dessert."

South End also made the top-five "Best New" restaurants, while Boulevard 18 received "honorable mention" in the "Best French" category. Thali, which has locations in New Canaan as well as in New Haven and Ridgefied, also made the list in the "Best Indian" category.

By abandoning their prior procedure of approving posts before they go up, they are letting anything go on and then taking them down if they're reported. By then, it's too late: the poster has gotten their message across during the time it's in the lineup. I only check in with Patch occasionally now and so many people in town won't read it at all anymore. I think we need to be honest with ourselves about what kind of a public forum this venue is. This doesn't reflect well on Staples if they are using subterfuge and violating Terms of Use on Patch either.
