If you’re wondering why there’s a gaping hole in the front of Weed & Duryea on Grove Street, note that there’s a new business in town.
The home improvement depot’s storefront is gutted and under construction to make way for Pet Pantry Warehouse, a pet supply store with locations in Greenwich, Rye and Larchmont, Conn.
The owners of Weed & Duryea are leasing the space out to the pet supply chain, which is scheduled to open on Labor Day
Pet Pantry joins the likes of Village Critter Outfitter, New Canaan’s pet boutique since 1998.
Pet Pantry boasts 65 brands of pet food, 40 of which are listed "natural" and eight of which are listed as "premium."
Pet Pantry also participates in animal assistance, rescue and adoption events, such as a cat adoption event in Greenwich on July 21. See the full list of upcoming events on the official Pet Pantry website under News and Events.
Pet Pantry is also in thre process of opening up a new location in Wilton.
