Program on Oct. 18 to "help parents teach children the essential principles to live a financially prudent life."

Are your kids “financially aware?”

Alan Critchell, vice president of American Century Investments, will present "Yes, You Can Raise Financially Aware Kids" at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the offices of , 50 Locust Avenue, New Canaan.

The program, part of HTG’s Fall 2011 Financial Focus Series, is designed to “help parents teach children the essential principles to live a financially prudent life,” according to a press release.

Critchell “offers an engaging, open format for parents to share their stories, ask questions and develop a strategy for teaching their children the basics about money," the release states.

Critchell made a similar presentation at HTG , and it was so well received that he was asked to return.

The final seminar in the fall series, “Playing Offense through Strategic Tax Planning,” featuring Janice Kunst, CPA of Reynolds & Rowella LLP, will be held Nov. 29.
