Heather Gaudio Fine Art, a contemporary art gallery in New Canaan, Connecticut, announces the spring exhibition, Defining Line. Opening on Thursday, April 4, the show features drawings, paintings and sculpture by Judith Trepp.
Heather Gaudio invites the community to meet the artist at the opening reception on Thursday, April 4 from 5pm to 7pm. "We are pleased to present a comprehensive collection of works by Judith Trepp. This show provides the opportunity to view the breadth of her talent explored through multiple mediums,” states Gaudio. The exhibition will run from April 4 through May 28.
Judith Trepp describes her art as “Expressive Minimalism” – utilizing only line, color and texture to engage her audience. While living in Zurich, Trepp absorbed the Bauhaus aesthetic and embraces the “less is more” philosophy promulgated by the International Style movement. “The drama in Trepp’s work is a joust between ground and line…lines can go beyond themselves by contrasting movement and stillness, and showing how these sensations are connected. Repose is a moment of stasis, calmness, concentration, organization, comprehension.” (Christopher Busa, Provincetown Arts).
Heather Gaudio Fine Art specializes in both emerging and established artists, offering works on paper, photography, painting and sculpture.
