Food Revolution Day will be at GardenFest on 4th May. GardenFest at New Canaan Nature Center is an incredible volunteer organized event, promoting healthy eating, growing your own food, food education and environmentalism. 

Food Revolution Day will have a table promoting healthy eating. Activities will include: Take the Pledge (parents and kids, sign the pledge board, to commit to healthy eating), Spoon Collage (decorate a food revolution spoon) and Coloring Competition for the little ones. PLANT SALE Our featured planters this year include a Kitchen Herb Planter, a Luscious Lettuce Pot, a Get Your Greens Pot, an Eat Your Peas Planter and a Spicy Salsa Planter. In addition, we will feature aRainbow of Tomatoes with at least 14 varieties of organic heirloom tomatoes that you surely won’t find anywhere else. There will be many flowers available for purchase and a variety of experts available to answer all your planting questions.
“This will be a fantastic community event sure to appeal to a wide variety of area residents” said Amy Carpi, GardenFest co-chair and NCNC Preschool parent. Our preschoolers have been busy all spring helping to grow beautiful seedlings and gardener or not, everyone will have a great time. WORKSHOPS
