No Fudge for Fido: Dangers for Pets in Every Room

A checklist of threats to your pet ... all through the house.

With Halloween around the corner, it may be a fun time for kids and adults, but there are a few things for you to consider for your animal’s safety, such as keeping candies/wrappers, chocolates and lollipop sticks away from them. And here are some other everyday hazards:

KITCHEN

  • Coffee
  • Raisins/Grapes

  • Vitamins
  • Antihistamines
  • Anti-Depressants

And don’t forget that Christmas is only a couple months away and to be careful with tree decorations, tinsel, ornaments, holly and mistletoe.

What to do if your pet gets a hold of any of these items:

Don’t wait! Call your veterinarian or Poison Control at 1-888-426-4435. Be prepared to state your pets breed, age, weight and symptoms. Keep the product container or plant sample so as to assist in identification so appropriate treatment recommendations can be made.
