A blind poodle that went missing from its home on Old Stamford Road earlier this month was returned after a resident reported seeing the dog on Orchard Drive.
The animal was missing for about 30 minutes on March 4 on a dangerous stretch of Old Stamford Road (Route 106) that’s notorious for speeding motorists.
The first call came in at 7:28 a.m. from the dog’s owner that the blind poodle was missing, and then at 7:59 a.m. a call came in that the dog was found, according to Officer Mary Ann Kleinschmitt of the New Canaan Police Department's animal control unit.
