Motorists in downtown New Canaan are facing minor congestion Monday morning and early afternoon as Connecticut Light and Power continues electrical work under the town's main drag.
One lane of Elm Street—at the Park intersection—is closed, bottlenecking traffic as close to a dozen workers labor on the honeycomb of wires beneath the street.
New Canaan police directing traffic said the work is expected to end 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon; the project will continue through Friday.
