Five Things to Know About New Canaan: August 23

1. A Planning and Zoning Meeting will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium.
2. The is hosting for kids ages 8-13 at tonight at 7 p.m. No need to register in advance. Just show up at 6:30 to participate.
3. , a special program hosted by the will take place tomorrow from 11 to 11:45 a.m. There will be special stories, a film and an art project which will help your child prepare for the big day.
4.  tonight at . This event is held every Tuesday night, with a different beneficiary every week. Tonight it's "All Out for Autism." 7-8 p.m.
5. Bring the kids over to Whole Foods Market in Darien at 4 p.m. this afternoon for an hour long cooking class. It's the market's  Kids will get a chance to learn simple recipes and get hands-on cooking experience. And you can shop in peace. Please register at customer service, reservations are required.
