Five Things to Know About New Canaan: August 26

All Out for Autism 5k Run / 1k Walk is tonight, Restaurant Week and Hurricane Irene updates.

  1. The 3rd Annual 5k Run/1k Walk - sponsored by  and SpedNet - takes place tonight beginning at 6 p.m. at the New Balance store. Proceeds will go to building a fitness path at Waveny designed for the specific needs of people with Autism.
  2. Join the Town Players of New Canaan Stage II for as they give a rehearsed reading of Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. "A romantic evening of theatre for a late summer night." There will only be three showings, tickets are $5 dollars and free to Season Subscribers. Reservations are not required. 
  3. Make your reservations now for New Canaan's first Restaurant Week, which starts tonight. 
  4. Only two more shopping days left until this year's Tax Free Week is over.
