Five Things to Know About New Canaan: June 24

You can't go wrong this weekend!

  1. Head on up to the Wolf Conservation Center. in South Salem, NY. The new pups will make you howl! Tonight at 6:30 they will host an Evening Howl for "Pups" of all Ages! Saturday they will have two events, at 11 a.m.Wolf Pup 101, adults are $13 and children (under 12) are $11. Then at 7 p.m there will be an Evening Howl for Adults Only, wine and cheese will be served for $20 per person. These events fill up quick so check their calendar for the next one if you miss out this weekend.
  2. The band Remember September will perform a benefit concert for on Saturday at the in South Norwalk. Also shining on stage will be Rubberband, a group of performers from STAR itself. Doors open at 4 p.m. For a preview check out the Remember September video.
  3. Join the guys at from 1 to 5 p.m this Saturday for a sampling of "wonderfully fruity and delicate wines" from . 
  4. Flip your lid with some free and funky Jazz at the  . From 3 to 6 p.m. this Sunday Ken Gioffre - who currently plays with Smokey Robinson and B.B. King - will be on Saxophone, Hiroshi Yamazaki on Piano and Bill Moring on Bass.
  5. "Much Ado About Nothing" comes to a close this weekend at Pinkney Park in Rowayton. Shakespeare under the stars will have two final showings at 7:30 Saturday and Sunday. Remember to bring a blanket, beverages and snack and that ever important bug spray.
