Five Things to Know About New Canaan: September 20

1. will host the 2011 Health Lecture Series on Wednesday and will highlight "Busting The Cholestrol Myth." The event begins at 7 p.m. and registration is recomended.
2. The at Waveny will host the Waveny Chamber Music Society performance of George Li, piano; program including Czerny, Schoenberg, Beethoven, Ravel and Liszt. Tickets are $30 at the door and refreshments will be served after the program.
3. There is a Special Board of Selectmen Meeting today at 9 a.m. in the Town Hall Board Room. Items on the agenda include the walking trail at Irwin Park and road paving.
4. "Check out the artwork on display at the exhibit at The Westport Arts Center studio gallery and art now through November 4. The special exhibit will feature a collection of watercolor paintings from Malawian children, ages 11 through 14, who participate in Westport-based Save the Children's art therapy and education program known as Healing and Education through the Arts or HEART."
